DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a Water Treatment Plant Operator, you perform a variety of duties at the Water Treatment Plant at the direction of the Water Treatment Plant Supervisor. This includes sampling and monitoring to meet extensive legal requirements, and providing appropriate record documentation. The plant ensures potable water for the Polk’s facility, fire department, and post office.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment, 37.5-hour work week
Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday to Friday, with 30-minute lunch.

Overtime, including call out time, may be required as needed.
Travel is required as needed.

All candidates must possess a valid certificate issued by the State Board for the Certification of Waterworks Operators for the class and type of water treatment plant operated (Class C or greater and E; Sub Classes 1, 6, 8 and 11).
All candidates must possess a valid Pennsylvania Driver’s License that is not currently under suspension.
