Clarion Summer Fest
A Clarion Blueprint Community, Inc. Project
Produced by The Local
Nancy Hanna, Event Coordinator
Clarion Summer Fest includes three event weekends to be held on the first weekend: June, 3 & 4; July, 2 & 3; August, 5, 6, 7. The fest is designed to attract community members and overnight tourists to visit Clarion with unique activities including: Pop Up shops featuring local entrepreneurs, live music events, the BIG Outdoor festival and a Sidewalk Chalk Art on Main event.
Each month will have a different theme: June’s festival – Clarion’s BIG Outdoor Festival, invites visitors to explore local trails, river and bike paths; July – A Hometown Fest will celebrate our community life, showcasing local musical talent with Open Mic Night on 6th Avenue; and August – Music & Arts Fest, features a sidewalk chalk art event, creating a public art installation & music JAM stations around Main. Each festival will include Pop Up Shops, music and Destination Clarion Downtown businesses.
All three of Clarion’s local craft breweries, Lost in the Wilds, Mechanistic and Clarion River Brewing will host a brewery crawl throughout the summer in celebration of the festival, featuring special food, live music and a brewery crawl discount card for special gifts and giveaways.
Summer Fest is a Clarion Blueprint Community, Inc. project. We are working to coordinate efforts with companies and organizations including: C-93 Radio, Destination Clarion Downtown, Clarion Arts Council, Clarion Borough, Clarion Chamber of Commerce, also for the first-time ever, all three outdoor trails including: Clarion Chapter of North Country Trail, Rail 66 and The Loop.
These events will be marketed together to: stretch ad dollars, creating grassroots excitement and support for various local businesses, Pop Up entrepreneurs, outdoor activities and organizations. The goal is to increase our tourism, add to our quality of life and help build new businesses in Clarion County.
