PERPSECTIVES ON I-80

PURPOSE: The purpose of the symposium is to provide a balanced platform for open communication, cordial discussion, and an opportunity to educate leaders on both sides of the issue concerning the tolling of Interstate 80.

PANEL: Each panel will consist of advocates for and against the tolling of Interstate 80 allowing them to present their perspectives without interruption or rebuttal.

PANEL SELECTION: The Clarion Area Chamber of Business and Industry will invite presenters who are opposed to the tolling of Interstate 80. The chamber will also formally invite the Turnpike Commission to participate in each panel presentation.

The Turnpike Commission is responsible for inviting presenters who are in favor of the tolling of Interstate 80 as it relates to their portion of their presentations during each panel session.

Comprised of tourism, local government and critical service leaders
Present concerns and needs of communities to address safety, quality of life, transportation and tourism

2 minute impact summaries from 15 businesses from across the Commonwealth
