Williams Junior Olympics

Registration begins at 12:30 p.m.

Opening Ceremony: 1:30 p.m.

 Children ages 5 - 12, (age 12 by October 7, 2012) and live in or attend school in Clarion County, are eligible to participate. The Olympics will be held at the Clarion University Memorial Stadium. Each athlete will participate in 4 events: Standing Long Jump, Dashes, Softball Throw, and Modified Javelin Throw.

There are 7 age categories: 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11-12.YOUR CHILD WILL ONLY COMPETE AGAINST PARTICIPANTS OF THE SAME AGE AND GENDER. The top three winners in each event/age category will receive medals. Every child that completes the entire day's activities will receive a ribbon.

In order to participate YOUR CHILD MUST PRE-REGISTER ON-LINE.

REGISTRATION DEADLINE IS SEPTEMBER 28th

The registration fee for each child is $3.00

Only the first 50 participants are accepted for each of the age/gender groups.
All entries are on a first-come first-serve basis.

ON THE DAY OF THE EVENT:
•  Pre-Registered participants must report to the field between 12:30pm and 1:15pm (NO EARLIER) to check-in on the ‘Home Side’ of the stadium. REMEMBER, there will be between 300 & 400 participants, so please plan accordingly.
•  Participants are to report to their groups no later than 1:15pm.
•  OPENING CEREMONY will begin promptly at 1:30pm.
•  Children ages 5 & 6 MUST HAVE a parent in the stands throughout the day.
•  Parents are not permitted on the field.
•  Group leaders will explain the procedure for the day and answer any questions you may have.
•  Each age group will be disbursed individually. Parents are to stay in the viewing area until the time your child’s group is dismissed.
